Heritage Shared 2012
The tragedy of the demise of the Sikh kingdom is depicted no more poignantly than in the graveyard at Kenmore in the Scottish Highlands. Here beneath a gravestone that bears no name lie the remains of Duleep Singh's first child who died on the 5th July 1865 having barely lived 24 hours. Had he survived he would have been destined , one day, to inherit the Kingdom of Punjab.
2:30pm - Unveiling ceremony followed by reception and presentation
The Maharajah Duleep Singh Centenary Trust in partnership with Kenmore Parish Church and 'Kenmore in Bloom' has commissioned the restoration of the gravestone.
