A photographic exhibition of the contribution of Sikh Soldiers during the two World Wars
The Jawans to Generals Exhibition was opened at Wellington Arch, Hyde Park Corner on 1st May 2002 by HRH The Prince of Wales. The Exhibition has previously been displayed in Gravesend, Luton, Doncaster, Leeds, Ipswich, Coventry, Liverpool and most recently in Warwickshire.
The exhibition is currently on display at Bristol Sikh Temple as part of their Sikhi Week running from 13th to 20th of October, to mark the 300th Anniversary of the Guru Granth Sahib. The week will also include lectures on Anglo Sikh History by Harbinder Singh, Sikhism Principles by Dr Rajinder Singh, childrens workshops, sikh history film shows and much more.
