Maharajah & The Kohinoor play tours schoolsDate: Tuesday, 06 April, 2010

This touching tale of the life of Maharajah Duleep Singh, told from the perspective of one of the world's most famous diamonds, the Kohinoor, captivated school pupils.

After its launch at the Birmingham Drum in early March, ‘The Maharajah and the Kohinoor' is now touring schools, gurudwaras and community venues around the country until the end of the year.

This theatre in education production following Duleep Singh's life is aimed at young audiences & families and dramatically demonstrates how the Sikh Kingdom unravelled and was annexed. A post show workshop gives young people the opportunity to engage in debate and activity exploring themes around identity, migration and history.
