Imperial War Museum

Situated south of the river, the Imperial War Museum's archives include Britain's largest collection of images of Sikh troops and the Victoria Cross awarded to Parkash Singh for his outstanding bravery in the Burma Campaign. They are also hosts to the annual Portraits of Courage lecture, commemorating heroic aspects of Sikh military history.

The Victoria Cross of Prakash Singh is currently not on display.  It will feature in the Lord Ashcroft Gallery, a new exhibition opening in 2010.
